I am learning to identify silent e and long vowel sounds in words.

"I know some words that have silent e's in them.  They are: love, hate, late, take, house and mouse. I am still learning the long vowel sounds.  Mum, Dad, Mrs Wyatt, Zion and my Poppa taught me how to read.  Most of the words are easy for me to read.  The hard words are sometimes names of people, and names of animals and insects."

I am learning to sequence my ideas, and add details to my writing.

"I can write more that five sentences.  One time I wrote nineteen sentences.  I am good at spelling words, and I am good at spelling long words.  If I don't know how to spell a word then I look around the classroom for it, or I sound it out.  Mum, Dad, Zion and Mrs Wyatt helps me with my writing."
